Connect to RedRover (Android)

Connect to the RedRover wireless network with an Android device.

This article applies to: Wi-Fi

Because many different versions of Android are in use, the illustrations that follow are intended to provide a generic guide how to configure your Wi-Fi settings. Your own device's exact appearance may differ.
  1. On your Android device, go to Settings then tap Wireless & networks, then Wi-Fi settings.
  2. Tap RedRover.

  3. Open any web browser to connect to the Internet. If this is the first time you're connecting to RedRover with this device, you'll be asked to complete a quick registration process. Cornell University Policy 5.7, Network Registry, requires registration of all devices connected to the network. The following steps apply only when you're registering a device.
  4. On the Cornell Network page, click Connect with Cornell NetID or GuestID.

  5. On the CUWebLogin page, enter your Cornell NetID or GuestID and password, and if necessary, select the ID Type. Then click Login.

  6. On the Registration page, enter a Description for the device, and then click Register.
The description should help you identify which devices you've registered. Enter a description that makes sense to you.

  7. Registration can take up to 5 minutes to take effect. To use the device immediately, reboot it.
