New Zoom “Persistent” Whiteboard Feature Available for Spring Semester

Starting Sunday, January 15, 2023, Cornell Zoom sessions will offer a new way for hosts and participants to collaborate. The new Zoom Whiteboard will offer an improved space for sharing ideas and content during class sessions, meetings, webinars, and training. This new Zoom Whiteboard "persists"—that is, it will be available beyond the end of a meeting or webinar and can be added to, shared, and saved by hosts and participants until it has been inactive for at least 120 days.

Duo Mobile App Passcodes to be Discontinued Starting in December

Beginning in December, Cornell will discontinue a Two-Step Login (Duo) authentication method—the Duo Mobile App passcode feature. Evidence has shown that the continued use of Duo Mobile App passcodes poses a security risk to the Cornell systems and users' personal information. If you regularly use Duo Mobile App passcodes, please plan to use the available alternatives, such as Duo push, Duo phone callback, Duo hardware token or USB security key.
