Free Scientific Computing Training Series begins November 1, 2022

Beginning November 1, 2022, Cornell’s Center for Advanced Computing and Weill Cornell Medicine Scientific Computing, ITS, and Clinical and Translational Science Center are launching a new Scientific Computing Training Series. The Zoom-based training is available for free to all workforce members and students of Cornell, WCM, WCM-Q, and Cornell Tech.

Announcing the Microsoft Azure Authentication Project

The Microsoft Azure Authentication project is upgrading the sign-in process for Microsoft services like Office 365, ensuring that Cornell has the latest authentication security and features. While the new Microsoft sign-in looks slightly different, you will continue to log in as you do now with a Cornell NetID and password.

Zoom Calendar and Contacts Integration with Office 365 Will No Longer Support Basic Authentication Starting September 25, 2022

On Sunday, September 25, 2022, Cornell will begin requiring that all Zoom account integrations with Office 365 calendars use the more secure OAuth 2.0 standard. This change is being made in anticipation of Microsoft’s upcoming deprecation of Basic Authentication (“Basic Auth”) on all Office 365 accounts.
