On rare occasions, an app's window will appear as a black box instead of showing the app. This is a case of "turn it off, then turn it back on," specifically, In the Appstream navigation bar, click the User icon, then select End session. Sign back in to Apps on Demand.
If one or more applications appear off-screen, it is likely a resolution problem, either in AppStream or on your local device. AppStream: In the AppStream Navigation bar, click Enter fullscreen mode. Local device: Your device's resolution is controlled in the device's settings, typically…
If, when signing in to Apps on Demand, you are asked to "Select a role," it probably means you have multiple sets of permissions in the service. Select whichever option matches the class you selected on the IT@Cornell Application Portal (in step one of the Sign In to Apps on Demand procedure).
If, when signing in to Apps on Demand, you see a message that says "Your request included an invalid SAML response," it means you are not included in the group authorized for access to this class's stream.
If, when signing in to Apps on Demand, you see this message: "Unable to authorize the session. Cross account access is not allowed." it means you have probably selected the wrong class or project from the IT@Cornell Application Portal (step one in our Sign In to Apps on Demand article).
Follow this procedure when you no longer want AppStream to have permission to access your OneDrive account, for example, when you no longer have any classes using AppStream. This will not affect or delete any files stored in your OneDrive. It only removes AppStream's access to them.

In the AppStream navigation bar, click Launch app (the four-squares icon). The list of applications available in your stream will be displayed. Click the desired app to launch it. Any currently-running apps will remain open. Click Switch windows (the overlapping rectangles icon in the navigation…
You will get the best performance if you open files from your Temporary Drive or Temporary Files location within the stream.
In the AppStream navigation bar, on the right, click the User icon, then select End session. Disconnected sessions (closing the web browser) and idle sessions (no keyboard / mouse activity) will stay active for 60 minutes and then be automatically logged off. If you fail to reconnect or…
If, when signing in, you see a message that "No streaming resources are available for your session," it most likely means that at the time you tried to sign in, all available AppStream sessions were currently in use by other users.
While using Apps on Demand, you'll see the Amazon AppStream Navigation Bar between your browser header and your applications.
If you are using Google's browser, Chrome, you can copy and paste normally between applications running on your device and running in Apps on Demand. You do not need the information on this page if you are using Chrome. If you are using some other browser, there are extra steps involved in copying…
