RingCentral and Your Local Internet Connection

This article applies to: RingCentral

RingCentral use requires an Internet connection. If local internet connections are not working, users should not rely on RingCentral, instead switching to a landline or cell phone.

If your home Internet is based on satellite uplinks, you may find that RingCentral works fine at some times and other times not at all, due to time delays in satellite transmissions.

To avoid these problems, CIT recommends

  • using the RingCentral cell phone app and
  • disabling Wi-Fi on your phone, enabling use of Cellular Data instead.
