Move Files in Google Storage

When joining or leaving Cornell, you will want to move files that you've stored in Google Drive.

The information presented here gives you ways you can move small numbers of files manually. If have a large amount of data to move into or out of Cornell systems, the options at Move Your Personal Data are a better fit.

To move a few files out of Google Drive, you can download files from Drive to your computer or device. Follow the instructions at Google's Download a file. Once you have the file, you can upload it to the place you would like to store it by following the process recommended by that service.

Because of the data caps in place for Cornell Google accounts, we don’t recommend importing your data into the Cornell Google Workspace. See what other File Storage options work for you instead.
