Manually Dial a RingCentral Call
This article applies to: RingCentral
It is easier to use the Contact method of dialing (see our Create Contacts and Call Contacts articles) for people with Cornell extensions and contacts you have added. But if you need to type in the number, here's how.
Computer App
- Click Dial pad (icon representing a deskphone ten-digit pad).
- Dial the number, then click dial (the green circle with a white phone handset). You can enter:
- a five-digit Cornell extension (see note in blue below)
- seven digits (the 607 area code will be assumed)
- ten digits including area code.
During the period when we are transitioning from Avaya to RingCentral, we advise dialing all seven digits for Cornell extensions. If the person you are calling has not been switched to RingCentral yet, the five-digit extension alone won't go through.
Mobile App
