Create Contacts in RingCentral

In RingCentral, the Contact list includes everyone in the Cornell directory. You can also add personal contacts.

Computer App

  1. Click Contacts (the person silhouette icon).
  2. Click Create new contact (in the toolbar, the person silhouette with the plus sign). A Create new contact screen will open.
  3. Fill in the desired information.
  4. Click Save when finished.

This new contact will appear under Personal and under All contacts.

Mobile App

  1. Tap Contacts.
  2. Tap the plus sign. iOS users, skip to step 4.
  3. Tap New contact.
  4. Choose either RingCentral (if you only want this contact available through the RingCentral app) or Device contacts (you will see this choice if you have allowed RingCentral to access your device contacts. Selecting this now will make this new contact available in RingCentral and in other apps on your device).
  5. Fill in the desired information.
  6. Tap the checkmark or Done when finished.
    You may be asked if you want to make RingCentral the default location for your contacts. Most people will want to say no.

This new contact will appear under Personal.
