Respond to Network Quarantine Notice

Network quarantine restricts network access for affected devices.

This article applies to: Wi-Fi , Wired Network

If Cornell receives a Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) notice for an IP address and/or a computer system registered to you, your account will be submitted to Network Quarantine, which restricts network access for the device identified in the DMCA notice.

  • If you receive a notice, contact your technical support provider for help.
  • You are responsible for following all instructions included with your DMCA notice.
  • For your first offense, once you have clicked "I Understand," your case will be listed as closed and your network access restored.
  • Added violations have additional restrictions and requirements.
