IT@Cornell Website Upgrade and Redesign Project Begins

This article applies to: IT@Cornell Website Upgrade and Redesign

A project has begun to make the IT@Cornell website easier and better to use, more accessible, and provide the benefits of updated web framework technology. IT@Cornell averages more than 350 thousand visits per month and contains more than three thousand knowledge, news, and service information articles that help the Cornell community use university IT services.

The first phase of the project, design and development, has already started and is planned to conclude in spring 2023. Content entry and testing will run from spring into summer. Quality assurance and web accessibility assessments will follow, leading to a launch of the refreshed site in summer or fall 2023.

As changes to the website look, feel, and behavior approach, updates will be provided to the community through IT News, the Cornell Faculty and Staff newsletter, student communications, alumni and retiree newsletters, and in-site guides and tips.
