IT@Cornell Website Upgrade and Redesign

Students studying in the Mui Ho Fine Arts Library on the first day of classes.

A New IT@Cornell Website is On the Way

  • Home page changes will provide easier browsing and faster access to the information you need.
  • Search improvements will increase the likelihood of useful results when imprecise search terms are used.
  • Accessibility functionality will be updated.
  • Buttons that provide a direct path to request support and other needs will appear on more pages throughout the site.

A project has begun to make the IT@Cornell website easier and better to use, more accessible, and provide the benefits of updated web framework technology.

About the IT@Cornell Website

IT@Cornell averages more than 350 thousand visits per month on average and contains more than three thousand knowledge, news, and service information articles that help the Cornell community use university IT services.

About the Project

The first phase of the project, design and development, has already begun and is planned to conclude in spring 2023. Content entry and testing will run from spring into summer. Quality assurance and Web Accessibility assessments will follow, leading to a launch of the refreshed site in summer or fall 2023.

Updates

Project updates will be posted here as they become available. As changes to the website look, feel, and behavior approach, updates will be provided to the community through IT News, the Cornell Faculty and Staff newsletter, student communications, alumni and retiree newsletters, and in-site guides and tips.
