Many people find it convenient to use a headset with the RingCentral app. Please see the vendor’s Recommended Headsets support page for details. 

The brands recommended, Poly and Jabra, are both widely available. The expense for headsets is the responsibility of your college / unit / department.

Other, less expensive options for both corded and Bluetooth headsets are available. For many people, simple earbuds with a microphone work just fine. If you are satisfied with what you currently use with Zoom or Teams, that solution will also work with RingCentral in nearly all cases.
