Extend your team's effectiveness and efficiency by adding apps to your teams and channels. Integrations with outside services and other parts of Office 365 centralize your efforts in Teams while helper apps keep you up to date and in the know.

Statement of Need

If you are interested in an app that is not currently available at Cornell, you will need to submit a Statement of Need for review by IT governance. This step helps ensure that Cornell makes sound decisions on new IT service capabilities in alignment with the university's goals and remains in compliance with all applicable laws and university policies.

Available Apps

The following apps are available in Cornell's Microsoft Teams:

Adobe Sign Keep document-signing workflows moving fast when you add Adobe Sign to Teams. You can sign documents and send them for legally binding e-signatures and approvals.

Approvals The hub for your approvals. Get things done quickly with the ability to review and take action right in Microsoft Teams.

Asana Add Asana projects to group chats and turn conversations into actionable work, all in one place. Chat with teammates about a project while looking at the full task list, including task assignees, due dates, and complete tasks when they're done.

AWS AWS Chatbot makes it easy to monitor, operate, and troubleshoot AWS workloads from Microsoft Teams.

Azure DevOps Plan better, code together and ship faster using Azure DevOps. Search, find work, and collaborate better with your team.

Bookings Schedule bookings with Microsoft Teams Meetings. You can use this scheduling tool to send appointment reminders from your business or department to meet virtually with any attendee.

Box Easily preview and download your Box content from within Teams and view contextual information on shared files with rich content cards in chats. Your content remains centralized in Box, but quickly available where collaboration happens in Teams.

Channel Calendar Access all events in the channel from one place. All members—except guests—can add events to the calendar and view event details.

Forms Easily create surveys, quizzes, and polls.

GitHub GitHub integration gives you and your teams full visibility into your GitHub projects right in your Microsoft Teams channels.

Incoming Webhook Enables external services to notify you about activities that you want to track.

Lists Create a new list from scratch, from templates, based on an existing list, or by importing data from Excel. Record data, have conversations about list items, organize process, and track status in an environment built for teamwork and collaboration.

OfficeSpace The OfficeSpace Microsoft Teams app for Visual Directory lets users easily find co-workers, rooms, and resources, share locations with colleagues and even submit request tickets.

OneNote Use OneNote notebooks to collaborate on digital content and share it with your team.

Outgoing Webhook The Outgoing Webhook acts as a bot and search for messages in channels using @mention. It sends notifications to an external web service and responds with rich messages, which include cards and images.

Poll Everywhere Poll Everywhere is an audience engagement tool that enables presenters and organizations to engage their audience in hybrid, remote, or in-person environments.

Power Apps Provides an integrated experience for app makers to create and edit apps and workflows within Teams, and quickly publish and share them for anyone on the team to use, without having to switch between multiple apps and services.

Power Automate Automate time-consuming and repetitive tasks by integrating your favorite apps and services with Microsoft Power Automate.

Power BI With the Power BI app in Microsoft Teams, you can collaborate with Power BI in Teams. The app is your personal experience of Power BI. It's as if the Power BI service lives inside Microsoft Teams. After you install it, you can do almost everything in Microsoft Teams that you can do in the Power BI service.

Project Keep up with your tasks and projects in context of your files, chats, and the rest of your Microsoft Teams channel using the Microsoft Project and Roadmap apps.

RingCentral Use all advanced RingCentral video meetings and audio conferencing features right from your Microsoft Teams app.

RSS Integrate RSS feeds to get auto updated content delivered to your workspace and share it with your team.

SharePoint Add a SharePoint page or list. Lists can be edited. Pages are read only in Teams.

Shifts Shifts in Microsoft Teams is a schedule management tool that helps you create, update, and manage schedules for your team. 

Smartsheet Turn Conversations into Action with Smartsheet and Microsoft Teams.

Tasks by Planner and To Do Tasks makes it easy to stay organized across all your Planner and To Do tasks. Create, assign, and track tasks individually or collaboratively with your team, and see everything come together in one place. (Not available in private channels.

TeamDynamix Search for and reference work items in TeamDynamix, share details with others, and add comments in TeamDynamix, all without leaving Teams.

Trello Link your Trello teams to those in Microsoft Teams. Capabilities include the Trello personal app, bot, tabs, messaging extension, and connector. You can view your Trello boards, lists, and cards.

Viva Engage Connect with leaders and coworkers, join communities, and share your story.

Viva Insights Shows personal insights within your Microsoft Teams flow of work, including how to stay connected, protect time, use Headspace for guided meditation, and start a virtual commute.

Viva Learning Microsoft Viva Learning is your central hub for learning in Teams where you can share, recommend, and learn from content libraries such as LinkedIn Learning and Microsoft Learn.

Weather Find current weather reports for any city, zip code, or location, then share them in a channel or chat.

Website Tabs Channel/group tabs deliver content to channels and group chats, and are a great way to create collaborative spaces around dedicated web-based content. 

Whiteboard Microsoft Whiteboard makes it easy to share ideas and collaborate with everyone in the same Microsoft Teams meeting.

Who Search for people based on what they're working on, who they work with, and more.

YouTube Share a YouTube video with other members of the channel. Simply search for the video you want or paste its URL. Even synchronize watching together in a meeting.

Zapier is an automation platform that supports thousands of the most popular apps. In just a few minutes, you can set up automated workflows (called Zaps) that connect Teams with the other apps you use most.

Zoom Seamlessly start, schedule, and join Zoom meetings, and make Zoom phone calls from Microsoft Teams.
