Request a Microsoft Office 365 A3 License
For those with standard A1 licenses, an explanation of the circumstances under which you can request an A3 license

Two types of Microsoft 365 licenses available at Cornell: A1 and A3. Details about how they differ and how to find out which one you have can be found at Office 365 ProPlus for Cornell Employees.
The A3 License is only available to certain users based on their affiliation with Cornell University. The following affiliations do not qualify for this license:
- Temporary
- Exception
- Student
- Alumni
- Former Postdoc
A1 license-holders can request an upgrade to an A3 license to gain additional capabilities for specific Cornell educational, research, or business needs. The license will apply only to computers used for Cornell work.
- Submit a ticket to request access to administer a Microsoft Bookings site.
- Submit a ticket to request an increase in Mailbox Storage from 50 GB to 100 GB. (There are no provisions for increasing the size further than this.)
- Submit a ticket to enable download of Desktop Applications. Both A1 and A3 license holders can use the Office Online apps, available when you sign in with your Cornell NetID address at office.com.
