Teams Dial-In Numbers

This article applies to: Microsoft Teams

If you have an A5 license, then you can provide a dial-in number for your Teams meetings. This allows participants to join you by phone when they have limited internet access, or when phone access is otherwise preferred.

The dial-in number is automatically added to any future meetings you schedule. Attendees do not need a license to join a meeting using the dial-in numbers.

Starting on February 16, 2026, those eligible to add a dial-in number to existing meetings will receive an email with your number and PIN. It may take several days for you to receive your dial-in number as this rolls out to the Cornell community.

(If you have an urgent need for audio conferencing, please contact the IT Service Desk after February 23 for assistance.)

For instructions about using audio conferencing, refer to Microsoft’s documentation at Join a Teams meeting by phone.

If a meeting organizer needs to dial in to the meeting, they must use the PIN for security reasons.
