As part of the university’s cost savings initiative, the next fiscal year budget will no longer fund both Avaya and RingCentral telecommunications services. Support for the legacy telephone services, Avaya, will be discontinued on June 30, 2025. 
Four fiscal years ago, departments across Cornell University began transitioning to a new platform for communicating through voice and data: RingCentral. By June 30, 2025, that transition will be complete and the legacy Avaya phone services will no longer be supported.
To block a spam number, you must use the RingCentral app, not the website.
The table here lists dates associated with rolling out RingCentral to a unit or department. Most of the activities are handled by Central IT and RingCentral. RingCentral unit administrators are responsible for the Data Due date and the Internal Unit Notice (optional but recommended).
In RingCentral, the Contact list includes everyone in the Cornell directory and anyone you have added manually as a contact.
