How to use the advanced features of a digital phone

Programmable Features

Send All Calls

Works only if the extension is in a Call Coverage Group.

Note: Send All Calls overrides forwarding.

To activate
  • Press Send All Calls (SAC) or dial #2. (Hear confirmation tone) If you have a Send All Calls button, the light is illuminated.
To cancel
  • Press Send All Calls or dial #6. (Hear confirmation tone.)

Priority Call

  • Press Priority Call (PC) or dial #3.
  • Dial 5-digit number.
To transfer a call
  • Press Transfer.
  • Press Priority Call (PC) or dial #3.
  • Dial 5-digit number.
  • Press Transfer.

Automatic Callback

Automatic Callback also works if there is no answer. The next time the extension you wanted is used and then becomes free, your phone rings back.

To activate
  • Dial 5-digit number.
  • If busy tone is heard, press Automatic Callback. (Hear confirmation tone.)
  • Hang up within 6 seconds.
  • The Automatic Callback button is illuminated.
To cancel
  • Press Automatic Callback.

Speed Dialing

To dial a number from the system list (List 3)
  • Dial *9. (Hear dial tone.)
  • Dial speed number.
To dial a number from the group list (List 2)
  • Dial *7. (Hear dial tone.)
  • Dial speed number.
To dial a number from the personal list (List 1)
  • Dial *8. (Hear dial tone.)
  • Dial speed number.
To program personal or group lists
  • Dial *0. (Hear dial tone.)
  • Dial or 2 (list number). (Hear dial tone.)
  • Dial speed number location (0-9).
  • Hear dial tone.Dial number to be stored.
  • Dial #. (Hear confirmation tone.)
  • Hang up or program next speed number by dialing the next speed number location and continuing as above.

Abbreviated Dialing

(also called Auto Dial)

To activate
  • Press AD button.
To program
  • Dial *0. (Hear dial tone.)
  • Press AD button. (Hear dial tone.)
  • Dial number to be stored.
  • Press AD button. (Hear confirmation tone.)

Abbreviated Dialing for 30-button Set

To program

White section of button

  • Hear dial tone.
  • Press *0. (Hear confirmation tone.)
  • Press button to be programmed.
  • Dial number to be stored.
  • Press button to hear confirmation tone
To program Gray section of button
  • Hear dial tone.
  • Press SHIFT button (light on).
  • Press *0. (Hear confirmation tone.)
  • Press button to be programmed (light off).
  • Enter number to be stored.
  • Press SHIFT button (light on).
  • Press button to hear confirmation tone.

Call Park

To park a call
  • Press Transfer.
  • Dial 200 or Call Park.
  • Dial extension number where call is to be parked, or dial # if it is to be parked on the current number.
  • Press Transfer.

Notes: If a busy signal is received, a call is already parked from this extension, so you cannot park this call.

The phone will ring back in one minute if a parked call has not been retrieved and the line is available. If you do not pick up, the parked call with follow your call coverage path.

To retrieve parked call
  • Hear dial tone.
  • Dial #0 or press Call Park.
  • Dial extension number where call was parked, or dial # if it was parked on the current number.
Note: If you hear alternating high and low tones, either the caller has hung up or you dialed from an extension that does not have a call parked.

Directory Feature

To locate an extension
  • Press Directory button.
  • Dial three - five digits of the person's last name.
  • Press Next button to view all entries.
Notes: This feature applies only to digital phones with display. CIT is currently updating the names stored on the names display. This will take some time to complete. During the updates, this feature may not work as intended.

Stored Number

To view the programming of an Auto Dial button
  • Press Stored Number button.
  • Press AD button to view the programming.

Call Display

To automatically dial extension located using Directory Feature
  • Press Call Display button.
Note: This feature applies only to digital phones with display.

Disconnect

To hang up from current call and return to dial tone
  • Press Drop.
