Surveys Lite (Microsoft Forms)

Microsoft Forms logo

Microsoft Forms is Cornell's "Surveys Lite" offering. It's a lightweight app for simple surveys that works directly in Microsoft Teams and saves responses to Excel automatically.

Overview

Surveys Lite (Microsoft Forms) is a lightweight information and response collection tool that saves data in Excel. Forms is available for use by current Cornell faculty, students, and staff.  It’s worth considering for your information gathering needs if you:

  • Want a simple form or lightweight survey
  • Don’t need sophisticated options
  • Do most of your work in Microsoft 365 apps
  • Are comfortable working with the information and guidance provided in Microsoft's learning and support documentation

Use in Microsoft Teams

To ensure forms and collected responses stay available to workgroups even if the person who created them leaves Cornell, use Forms from inside Microsoft Teams. See how at Microsoft's Work with colleagues to create, edit, and review forms in Microsoft Teams.
