Update 2022-04-12: Cority Stage 3 Efforts Reordered

Cority project update

This article applies to: Cority

An evaluation of work components planned for Stage 3 of Cority implementation has prompted a change in order of efforts. An upgrade to Cority’s Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosting has also been added to the project.

The work to be done in the different project areas will stay the same as outlined in the last update, Cority Stage 2 Launched, Stage 3 Gearing Up. The order the work will be done in, the inclusion of the AWS upgrade, and the duration of Stage 3 are what will change.

Under the updated plan:

  • The "fit-gap" analysis, which will determine and outline the reasons why Cority cannot yet be implemented for some areas of Cornell Research Safety, is well underway with Subject Matter Experts wrapping up a functional review. Results are expected to be shared with COHSEC executive leadership on May 2, 2022
  • Knowledge transfer and planning for the AWS upgrade is also in progress. A detailed plan for the actual upgrade is being created with the expected migration to occur in the third quarter of 2022
  • The reimplementation of Cority Industrial Hygiene Suite will begin in 2023, rather than concluding that year
  • The future considerations document will be finalized after the close of the Industrial Hygiene reimplementation
