The Initiate phase for Cornell/Cority Industrial Hygiene (IH) implementation (Stage 3 of the project) has concluded and activities have begun for the next phase: Shape.
Shape is Cority’s Analysis and Design phase that begins with Workshop 1. The project’s lead Cority solutions consultant guided the Cornell team through a series of half-day sessions in late January and early February. These sessions included subject matter experts from Cornell Health Occupational Medicine and EHS Industrial Hygiene and explored the configurations in each of the modules within Cority’s IH and Occupational Health suites to determine how they may initially be shaped to meet Cornell’s business needs. All decisions and action items related to this configuration are captured in a Cority module called the Design Tracking Log (DTL), which becomes the initial specification from which the product is configured after Cornell signs off.
At the conclusion of the first round of configurations, the Shape phase will be considered complete, and the project will proceed to the Refine (build) phase. The team will start to use the newly configured system and engage in a second set of workshops to refine the configurations based on use and evolved understanding of the system. Decisions for refined configurations and new action items will be captured and approved in what is called DTL2. DTL2 in turn becomes the basis for what is ultimately tested and implemented. The second set of workshops are currently planned for late April 2023.
The overall project plan will include the Confirm (testing) phase after the sign-off for DTL2, followed by the Go-Live phase. The date currently planned for go-live is in early September 2023.
