I am not able to access my AUDIX mailbox. What do I do?

After connecting to AUDIX (at 254-4444), enter your 5-digit (x-xxxx) extension followed by # and, when prompted, enter your password followed by #. If this does not solve your problem, contact the IT Service Desk: Voice, Video, Data to reset your password.

How do I reset my AUDIX password?

For departmental or unassigned extensions, the departmental Telecomm Coordinator should contact the IT Service Desk.

For personal extensions, the customer should contact the IT Service Desk.

How do I change the name that people hear when voice mail is reached?

To record your name

  1. Log in to AUDIX at 254-4444.
  2. Press 5 then 5 again.
  3. After the tone, say your name as you want people to hear it.
  4. Press 1.
  5. Press # to approve.

How long do messages stay in AUDIX?  What do I do if I need the duration extended?

Messages will be deleted after 10 calendar days. If you need this amount of time extended please contact your departmental Telecommunications Coordinator who will submit a request for service form to the IT Service Desk: Voice, Video, Data.

My message light is not lit, yet I had voice mail messages waiting for me. What do I do?

Have your departmental Telecommunications Coordinator submit a trouble ticket to the IT Service Desk: Voice, Video, Data for troubleshooting.

Can I have more than one AUDIX greeting so I can switch them to give callers the information they need?

My calls go directly to my voice mail, or to another extension; my phone never rings even once. What’s wrong?

Have you checked to be sure that Send All Calls or Call Forwarding is not active?

To Clear Send All Calls

  1. Hear dial tone
  2. Press #6

To Clear Call Forwarding

  1. Hear dial tone again
  2. Press #9

You should hear a confirmation tone. These steps will cancel any send all calls or call forwarding that may have been activated. If that does not solve the problem have your departmental Telecommunications Coordinator submit a trouble ticket to the IT Service Desk: Voice, Video, Data for troubleshooting.

I have a Cornell virtual number (SoftNumber), can I have voice mail?

Yes, have your departmental Telecommunications Coordinator submit a request to the IT Service Desk: Voice, Video, Data.

How can I check my voice mail from off campus?

To check your voice mail from off campus, dial (607) 254-4444. All of the AUDIX commands are the same.
