Don't want Cornell Email?
Alumni who no longer wish to receive email at their cornell.edu address can request to have their account deleted. Fill out the Delete Cornell Email Account form to start this process.
Before deleting your email account make sure that you have all of the emails and files that you want to keep. Once disabled, any email sent to your Cornell email accounts will bounce, and you will not be able to access any mail currently in your mailbox. You will no longer be able to use your Cornell email address for password recovery.
All of these services will be affected as a result of deleting your Cornell email account:
Office 365 services including (but not limited to):
- Exchange/Outlook - deleted
- OneDrive - deleted
- Sharepoint - deleted
- OneNote - deleted
- Teams - removed

Before deleting your email account make sure that you have all of the emails and files that you want to keep. You can use a commercial option such as VaultMe, or export your own Google Workspace content using Google Takeout.
Set Your Email Forwarding
Office 365
If you use Cornell Office 365, but do not have a Cornell Google Workspace email account, set up email forwarding using Outlook on the web.
Google Workspace
If you use Cornell Google Workspace (formerly known as G Suite or Cmail), and do not have an Office 365 account, set up email forwarding using Google’s settings.
If You Use Both Services
Incoming email will arrive at your Cornell Office 365 account first. If you want a copy of this email to go to your Google Workspace account you must set forwarding using Outlook on the web.

If you would like to change the First and Last name that appears in the "From" field on your Cornell email, you can do so in Student Center. Once logged in:
- Go to Personal Information
- Click Names
