Import Members Into Simplelists

This article applies to: E-lists (Simplelists)

Preparing a List From Lyris

If you are copying members from Lyris, first export the list of members from Lyris, saving the export as a CSV format file on your computer. Then follow the steps below for importing into Simplelists, making the assignments:

  • (required) Lyris EMAILADDR_ => Simplelists Email address
  • (optional) Lyris FULLNAME_ => Simplelists Surname
  • Leave all other columns unassigned.
This puts all parts of the displayname in to the Surname field, leaving the First Name field empty. To populate both Simplelists name fields, make a copy of the Lyris export and edit it prior to uploading, adding two columns and populating them with appropriate data for First Name and Surname. You can simplify the CSV file by first deleting all columns except EMAILADDR_ and FULLNAME_.

  6. Click into the Choose Files field, and browse to the file you want to upload
  7. Click Open on the file explorer window to select the file

Your import is complete when Overall status: Completed is displayed.
