Set Welcome Message for Simplelists E-Lists

Overview
Simplelists e-lists have a default welcome message that is sent to new members. If you don't want this default message sent, you can delete the welcome message from the e-list configuration before adding any new members.
Set a Welcome Message
To configure your e-list's welcome message:
- Log in to Simplelists.
- From the menu on the left, select .
- Select on the desired list.
- On the tab, type in your welcome message, or copy and paste the text from the template below into the appropriate fields.
- Click .
- Test the welcome message by adding yourself as a new member of the e-list, using an email address you have access to.

: Welcome to membership in the e-list $LISTNAME@lists.cornell.edu
: The email address $TO_EMAIL is now a member of the e-list:
$LISTNAME@lists.cornell.edu
This occurred because either you subscribed, or the administrator of this e-list added your address.
TO REMOVE YOUR ADDRESS from this e-list, click on this link:
$UNSUBSCRIBE
Requests for assistance, or questions about this message or this e-list should be sent to the (human) administrator(s) of this e-list, reachable at:
$LISTNAME-manager@lists.cornell.edu
Please be sure to include the name of the e-list in question, a full description of what the problem is, and any error/notification messages you may have received. If the owners do not respond within two business days, then please contact Cornell University's E-List Administration Team at e-list@support.mail.cornell.edu
