Send Faxes with RingCentral

You can send documents to a fax number; your documents will print for the recipient as if they had been faxed.

The total size for all documents sent as a single fax is 50 MB.

Computer App

  1. Click the plus-sign icon in the menu bar, then select Send new fax. A New fax dialog box will open.
  2. Enter the fax number.
  3. (optional) Use the Cover page dropdown list to select a style for your cover page. None is a good option for simplicity and saving paper; there will be no separate cover page. Instead, each page will have a small header.
  4. (optional) Enter a message to appear on the cover page.
  5. Click the paperclip icon to attach one or more documents. The maximum combined file size is 50 MB.
  6. Click Send now or Send later. If you choose Send later, you'll be asked to specify a date and time.

Mobile App

Android

  1. Tap Phone, tap Fax, tap page-emerging icon (blue) near bottom of screen. You'll see a New fax screen.
  2. For To, enter a fax number, then tap Next.
  3. (optional) Tap Cover page
    1. Select a cover page style.
    2. Enter a message you want to appear on the cover page.
    3. Tap the checkmark when done creating your cover page.
  4. Tap Add attachment, then tap Attach files, Attach photos, or Take photo. You may be asked to allow RingCentral to access photos and media on your device. You must allow this to proceed. The maximum combined file size is 50 MB. 
  5. Repeat adding attachments as needed.
  6. When finished adding attachments, send your fax by tapping the right-facing arrow on the New fax line at the top of the screen.

iOS

  1. Tap Phone, then tap the plus-sign near the top-right corner of the screen.
  2. From the menu that appears, tap New fax.
  3. Enter the fax number.
  4. Click Add Attachment, then select the file to send. You can add more than one file; the maximum combined file size is 50 MB.
  5. When done adding attachments, tap Send
