How to use the phone features of Student Voice Service

Call Waiting

To place a call on hold and answer the second
  • Press and release switchhook. (Hear dial tone.)
  • Dial *6.
  • To retrieve the first call, pres and hold the switchhook until the telephone rings.
To retrieve the first call
  • Press and release switchhook. (Hear dial tone.)
  • Dial *6.

Hold

To place a call on hold
  • Press and release switchhook. (Hear dial tone.)
  • Dial *6.

Last Number Dialed

  • Dial #7.

Transfer

Note: Campus calls only.

  • Press and release switchhook. (Hear dial tone.)
  • Dial 5-digit campus number.
  • Announce the call and hang up.

Conference

To add a party to call

(May add up to 2 additional parties.)

  • Dial first party.
  • Press and release switchhook. (Hear dial tone.)
  • Dial next party.
  • After the party answers, press and release switchhook.

Automatic Callback

To activate
  • Press and release switchhook. (Hear dial tone)
  • Dial *5.
  • Dial the 5-digit number that was busy or not answered.
  • Hang up within 6 seconds.
To cancel
  • Dial *5.
