Respond to Meeting Invitations (Outlook for Mac)

This article applies to: Outlook for Mac

The following link will take you to a Microsoft help page:

Accept or Decline a New Meeting Proposal in Outlook for Mac

But before you go, here's some additional information you may find helpful.

  • If you don't send a response, the meeting organizer won't know whether you're attending. They'll see your status as "none."
  • If you delete a meeting invitation without clicking one of the buttons, the meeting won't appear on your calendar, and the meeting organizer won't know whether you're attending. In addition, Microsoft's Calendar Repair Assistant (an automated tool that runs in the background) may re-create the invitation in an effort to help.
  • If you click the Decline button, the meeting won't appear on your calendar. So if it's possible you might attend, click the Tentative button instead.
