New Update Application for Cornell-Managed Windows Computers
Over the summer, most campus IT units upgraded the patching application for Cornell-managed Windows computers. When the rollout is complete, the OS-integrated Windows Update application will be your source for updates. The transition will be complete for all IT units by the end of November 2025.

Important Two-Step Login (Duo) Changes Continue on November 4
Beginning in August 2025, in response to increased threats to Cornell NetID passwords and systems, changes will be made to Two-Step Login (Duo).
Student Employees Will Be Required to Take Cybersecurity Training Starting Oct. 16
Student employees will be enrolled in ITSO 102 FY25 Cybersecurity Training and Attestation on October 16. This is the same course that all faculty and staff are required to complete annually. Students who are not employed by Cornell do not need to take the course.
Student employees will have 45 days to complete the course, which typically takes about 15 minutes. The due date will be December 1.
Now With PIN and Password: The Secure Connect Passkey!
