Cornell University

Longview

Longview is used by Cornell finance staff with budget oversight responsibilities for development, analysis, and forecasting of the operating, trustee, and capital budgets at Cornell.

The system is fed data from KFS and Workday five days per week. This ensures the system contains the most recent Chart of Accounts data, Actuals summary transaction data, Position data, and Cost Allocation data. Since Actuals data is fed to Longview, the system can be used to manage budgets (budget to actual comparisons).

Budget reporting is provided out of the Longview system. Longview data is not be fed to other centrally maintained data warehouses and is not available via other centrally provided reporting tools.

Longview is hosted externally (servers reside outside Cornell). To access the system, follow the steps at Longview Setup and Technical Requirements.
