Active students, staff, and faculty who exceed the amount of storage available will first receive warnings that you are approaching (or exceeding) your storage limit. If you do not reduce the amount of data in your Cornell Google account you will not be able to send or receive email.

Newly-Graduated Students

Students who recently graduated have a 5 GB storage limit applied to a Cornell Google account in the following November. If you exceed this limit, you will no longer be able to send or receive email, and your account will be locked. If you don't reduce the stored files to below 5 GB, the Google account will be deleted within 60 days.

Your Google Account is Going Away

If you leave the university, and you are no longer entitled to a Google account, your account will eventually be deleted. The time period between when you leave and when the account is deleted varies; see the information here to learn more based on your specific situation.
