Prevent Survey Results Deletion
This article applies to: Surveys Lite (Microsoft Forms)
If deleted, survey results in Microsoft Forms can't be recovered by administrators or Microsoft.
Take one or more of the following actions to prevent the accidental loss of survey results.
- Periodically of the results
- When viewing results, select , then for live-sync results
- We do not recommend making changes to data in Excel for the web. Changes made to the synced file will not overwrite Forms results, but neither will they re-sync with Forms results. Certain structural changes to the workbook can also interfere with the Forms-to-Excel sync.
- Use group-owned forms, so data isn’t tied to one user account
- Create a power automate flow for a Sharepoint list to archive each response. Create a flow with:
- Trigger: When a new response is submitted
- Action: Get response details
- Action: Create item in SharePoint
