After storage service providers made announcements about the end of unlimited storage, a CIT project team assembled to evaluate the situation and suggest changes that could save Cornell from incurring large new expenses. A new Storage Advisory Committee with representatives from across the university began meeting. Recommended changes were reviewed by the committee, IT leadership, and the IT Governance Council. Communications were discussed with Alumni Affairs and Development and a student focus group. 

The Program encompasses three groups:

Program Leadership, which consults with Cornell's IT Governance Council for decisions on major questions. The leadership group includes:

  • The Executive Sponsor, Cornell's Chief Information Officer
  • The Program Director, who is CIT's Director of Enterprise Services
  • The Program Manager, who is a member of the CIT Project Management Office

The Advisory Committee, which has representatives from:

  • ILR
  • Cornell University Library
  • Center for Advanced Computing
  • Student Services IT
  • Alumni Affairs and Development
  • Biotechnology
  • Center for Teaching Innovation
  • Cornell Research
  • CIT Infrastructure Cloud Services
  • Cornell's Chief Information Security Officer

The Core Team, made up of:

  • Storage Solutions Lead, from CIT Enterprise Services, Collaboration and Utility Services
  • Technical Subject Matter Expert, reporting to Storage Solutions Lead, from CIT Enterprise Services, Collaboration and Utility Services
  • Security Technical Lead, from the IT Security Office
  • Communication Lead, from CIT Customer Experience
  • Email Technical Lead, from CIT Enterprise Services, Mail and Calendar Services
