Why Do I Need to Know if There Is Confidential Data on My Computer?

This article applies to: Spirion (formerly Identity Finder)

Every employee of the university bears a responsibility for protecting restricted and sensitive data. Personal, financial, identification, and other confidential data, when stolen or misused, can cause serious harm to individuals and organizations.

The first step to protecting and preventing unauthorized access to confidential data is knowing where it’s located and eliminating any unnecessary files.
