JMP Licensing

This article applies to: Software Licensing

On This Page

JMP Pro is a graphical statistical analysis application, with a focus on exploratory analytics. JMP Pro is a product of The SAS Institute. The JMP Pro campus license is fee-based.

JMP Genomics was a separate utility that used the JMP interface for genetic analysis and research. The manufacturer has ceased development of JMP Genomics as a separate product. Starting with JMP Pro 17, all of the features of JMP Genomics have been incorporated into JMP Pro.

A Cornell JMP license grants access to both utilities.

If you need to update the license file of an existing installation of JMP, please see our Update a JMP License article.

Links to download JMP Pro are below. The current release is JMP Pro 17. We can also provide support for JMP Pro versions 14, 15, and 16.

JMP Pro is licensed to Cornell University and its use is limited to Cornell University staff, faculty, and students (including Weill Cornell Medical College), and to employees of Cornell-affiliated institutions located on the Ithaca campus (for example, the Boyce Thompson Institute). Use of the software is restricted to individuals who have purchased a license for the current license period. You must log in with your Cornell NetID or Weill CWID to enable the download.

If you have purchased a departmental license or multiple individual licenses, please distribute your copies of JMP in accordance with your license type and the number of seats you purchased.

License File

You must purchase a license to get the current license file.

If you have an existing JMP installation already on your computer, and the license has expired, you can apply the current license file to your existing JMP application. For step-by-step instructions, please see How To Update Your JMP License File.

Please see How To Install JMP. The process is a bit more complicated than just running the installer.
