The Technical Lead works in tandem with the Service Delivery Manager for many aspect of direct management of a service's technical resources. 

The Technical Lead is uniquely responsible for:

  • Daily operations of service delivery
  • Keeping knowledge articles about services accurate and up to date
  • Suggesting service improvements in order to ensure timely, quality service is being provided to customers
  • Providing reports for incidents, requests, changes, and problems for the service to the Service Delivery Manager
  • Documentation relating to technical diagrams and architecture 
  • Maintaining technical assets in the CMDB 
  • Maintaining technical disaster recovery plans 
  • Participation in on call responsibilities for an essential or critical service 
  • Participation in major incidents 
  • Participation in architecture reviews 
  • Troubleshooting system issues, such as when an integration stops working
