The IT Service Management Steering Committee

The IT Service Management Steering Committee is chaired by the program manager and is a group of cross-division representatives and advisors who have been asked to govern CIT's service management program and provide strategic direction.

The committee: 

  • Prioritizes improvement efforts
  • Ensures that processes are implemented within their representative division
  • Provides insight into program failures, issues, and successes 
  • Consults on program, process, resource, tool, and communication decisions
  • Makes recommendations as to practical implementation of new processes
  • Recommends strategies to govern and provide program oversight 
  • Reviews and addresses feedback from those in service management roles, process users, process owners, and the program manager 
  • Reviews and addresses program feedback from IT Leadership
  • Reviews new compliance requirements to mature the program as needed
  • Reviews audit and regulatory reports for opportunities to improve IT Operating Model and IT Service Management Program as a whole
