Set Reservation Length for Hoteling Spaces

Many units and departments provide "hoteling space" for workers who usually work remotely, but need to be on campus occasionally. This article describes how to set reservation durations.

This article applies to: Hoteling Space Reservation System

For each type of space (cubicle, private office, etc.), you can set what length of time can be reserved. CIT's general recommendation is 4 or 8 hours. If the person making the reservation wants to book more time than the duration you've set, they will need to reserve back-to-back time slots, one at a time (it is not possible to book multiple reservations all at once).

  1. Open the administrative panel for your Hoteling Space.
  2. In the left column, click Services
  3. Click the service (the type of space) you want to edit.
  4. Under Default Duration, set the reservation length.
  5. (Optional) If you want a gap between reservations, for example, if you will be sanitizing spaces between users, toggle Buffer time your customers can't book, then set the amount of time between reservations.
  6. Click Save.
