1. Start up the IBM Storage Protect Backup-Archive GUI (From the Start Menu, select IBM Storage Project, then Backup Archive GUI).
2. If prompted to login check that the User id field shows your EZ-Backup Node Name, then enter your current password, and click Login.
3. When the GUI opens, from the Utilities menu select Change Password.
4. As prompted, type in your Current password, your New password in two places, and click Change.
5. A message should appear stating, "Password successfully changed." Click OK.
6. Close the Backup Archive GUI client.

An IBM Storage Protect password must be 8 to 63 characters long. Valid characters are:

• Letters A through Z (uppercase and lowercase are treated the same; these passwords are not case-sensitive)
• Numerals 0 through 9

• Most symbols:

  ~  `  !  @  #  $  %  ^  &  *  _  -  +  = |  ( )  { }  [ ]  :  ;  <  >  ,  .  ?  / (not double quotes, single quotes, backslash)
