Cornell Red Cloud

Red Cloud is Cornell's on-premise cloud. It is subscription-based to avoid cost overruns, and help is available for users. Benefits:

  • Red Cloud CPU and GPU cores and RAM are not oversubscribed. There’s an Intel processor core is behind each core on the virtual server for fast and consistent performance
  • Users can request instances with up to 28 cores and 240 GB of RAM.
  • Instances featuring up to 4 NVIDIA Telsa V100 GPUs are available.
  • CAC consulting staff are also available to help Cornell faculty, staff, and students deploy cloud-ready research applications that will run on Red Cloud as well as public clouds.
