Microsoft 365 License Requests

Some Microsoft 365 products have an individual user license cost, which must be paid up front through eShop. Currently, you can purchase the following:

Microsoft 365 Copilot is not yet available to purchase.

You can check what subscriptions you already purchased on your Office account. (Click Subscriptions once logged in.)

Purchase a License

  1. Purchase the license through eShop. (You may need to contact the person who does procurement in your department.)
    1. Sign into eSHOP with your NetID SSO using this page.
    2. Scroll down to COMPUTERS section
    3. Choose Dell -> Punchout
    4. On left side in CATEGORIES choose SOFTWARE
    5. Scroll to locate or search for needed software
    6. Choose ADD TO CART on needed software
    7. In top right corner select CART
    8. Choose CREATE ORDER REQUISITION
    9. Select SOFTWARE CUSTOM INFO OPTIONS
    10. Enter license contact information and Usage country. (This does not need to be the same person being assigned the license.)
    11. Select SUBMIT ORDER REQUISITION
    12. Complete the remaining KFS purchasing steps. The purchaser should receive a PDF order confirmation from Dell a few minutes after completing the purchase.
  2. Send the Dell order confirmation PDF to CIT through this form so they can assign your license. (Dell sends this shortly after purchase.)
Dell first processes your purchase, and then Microsoft notifies CIT that the license is available. It can take 5–7 business days after purchase before CIT can assign the license to you.
