Box has announced that Box Sync will no longer be supported beginning in December 2026. 

Once unsupported, continuing to use it could expose Cornell to security vulnerabilities and unresolved bugs. Therefore, Box Sync will be retired in December 2026. 

While files will still be available on Box.com, and on desktop after installing Box Drive, anyone who uses Box Sync should transition to Box Drive now to avoid service interruptions.
