Create your account
On the Pantheon site, register for a free Pantheon developer account.
Use your “NetID@cornell.edu” email address when creating your account. This will enable the use of Cornell's SSO system to access your site(s) on Pantheon.
Once you’ve created a site (does not have to be finished), you can submit a ticket to Custom Development to request your site be added to the “Cornell University: Cornell Information Technologies” Organization. This will give you access to discounted rates for all levels of the service.
How to “Go Live” with a custom domain (using cornell.edu or other .org, .net, etc.)
When you’ve completed your site build and you’re ready to launch your site with a cornell.edu domain or other custom domain (other than the pantheonsite.io domain), you need to request your site be moved to the Cornell University Organization by submitting a ticket, as stated above.
Once your site is in the organization, billing account is confirmed, then a service plan will be added to your new site, and you can configure a custom domain in the Pantheon Dashboard
You must have access to the domain you're creating the website in to make appropriate DNS changes. Otherwise, reach out to Cornell DNS Hostmaster (hostmaster@cornell.edu) to add or modify the DNS entry.
If you need further assistance with Pantheon, please submit a ticket to Custom Development.
