Reference Group Suffixes

Every level of the Peoplesoft HR Tree has several references groups associated with it. Here's an overview of what the various suffixes mean.
Employee Groups
rg.NameOfGroup.employee – all employees including the sub-groups of staff, temporary, pre-arrival, academic, faculty. Does not include outbound or retired employees
rg.NameOfGroup.employee.staff - full time staff. Does not include faculty or academic
rg.NameOfGroup.employee.faculty - employees who are classified as faculty
rg.NameOfGroup.employee.academic - academic employees who are not faculty, such as library staff
Please note that the "academic" and "faculty" suffixes are mutually exclusive. Any given NetID will only be in a maximum of one of these groups.
rg.NameOfGroup.employee.temporary - employees who are not full time
rg.NameOfGroup.employee.prearrival - employees who have been hired but have not yet had their first day of work
rg.NameOfGroup.retirees – all retirees not including emeriti
rg.NameOfGroup.emeritus – all emeriti
rg.NameOfGroup.trustees – all trustees, not including trustees emeriti
rg.NameOfGroup.trustee-emeritus - all trustees emeriti
Reference groups for employees are divided further into the department(s) in which they work.
Student Groups
rg.cuniv.student - includes both undergraduate and graduate students, including those on leave
rg.cuniv.student.undergrad - all current undergraduate students, including those on leave
rg.cuniv.student.undergrad.onleave - undergraduate students on leave only
rg.cuniv.student.grad - all current grad students, including those on leave
rg.cuniv.student.grad.onleave - graduate students on leave only
Reference groups for students are divided further into the college(s) in which they are enrolled. A student who is enrolled in more than one college will be represented in all of the appropriate groups.
