Override Defaults for Zoom Screen Sharing and Annotation

In Cornell Zoom, by default only the host can screen share, and screen annotation is turned off. You can change these settings.

Allow Attendee Screen Sharing

To allow attendee screen sharing in a single meeting:

  1. In the Zoom meeting window, click the arrow next to the green Screen Share button.
  2. In the options for participant sharing, for Who Can Share?, select All Participants.

To allow participants to screen share by default for all of your meetings:

  1. Sign into Zoom settings.
  2. Scroll down to In Meeting (Basic).
  3. Under Screen Sharing, for Who Can Share?, select All Participants.

Turn on Screen Annotation

To allow screen annotation for all of your meetings:

  1. Sign into Zoom settings.
  2. Scroll down to In Meeting (Basic).
  3. Click the switch for Annotation to enable it.
  4. If a verification message appears, click Turn On to verify the change.
