Hide Your Campus Phone Number from the Cornell Online Directory

Cornell employees can use a privacy setting in Workday to prevent their university phone number from appearing in the online directory.

Hiding your campus phone number from the public is one way to help deter harassing calls.

Note: After you flip your office phone number's visibility setting to Private in Workday, it takes about two hours for the change to be implemented in the online directory.
  1. In Workday, click Personal Information from Your Top Apps or from View All Apps.

  2. Under Personal Information, look for the Change column and click Contact Information.

  3. Under My Contact Information, click Edit.

  4. Scroll past Home Contact Information and find Work Contact Information. Check each campus phone number listed. Click the Edit button represented by a pencil icon.

  5. Under Visibility, change the Public setting to Private. Then Save your update by clicking on the checkmark.

  6. Finalize your changes by clicking the Submit button.
