Problem: During 2025, Google updated how Chrome autofill works on Android mobile devices. This could prevent autofill from working correctly in Chrome for Android.

The LastPass Android app should update regularly. When it does, the next time the app is opened it should prompt the user to make a required setting change.

If the user has not encountered the prompt guiding them to make the setting change, they should first check whether their LastPass Android app has been updated to version 6.32 or higher.

To check the LastPass version:

  1. Open the LastPass Android app.
  2. Tap Settings, then About LastPass.
  3. Verify the version number shown is greater than 6.32.
  4. Tap OK to return to Settings.

To manually update LastPass for Android, open the Google Play store, search for "LastPass," and tap Update.

If the updated app does not prompt the user to make LastPass the preferred autofill service for Chrome, refer to the instructions on the LastPass vendor webpage for this issue.
