There are new features and improvements in Microsoft Teams, including scheduling channel messages, forwarding messages, pop-out meeting chat and notes, enhanced external chat protection, and more.

IT Staff to Build Change Management Skills Ahead of Major Cornell Initiative

One of the most common challenges with any technology change, as anyone who has built a career in IT knows, is guiding people to adopt new ways of working. To strengthen that skill across the IT community, one-day orientation training sessions in Prosci (said as “pro-sigh”) organizational change management are being offered to all IT staff.

The Software Development SIG Meets on May 1

The Software Development (SD) SIG will meet on Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 2-3pm ET. The SD-SIG is open to anyone actively developing software or just interested in software development. Phil Robinson and Jesi Buell will present on the University Library’s online catalog system, "Discovery and Access." Following the presentation, we'll have round-table discussions.

University Catalog Improvements for 2025-2026

Exciting changes are coming to the University Catalog this summer as part of the CourseLeaf project, an initiative to support academic operations, relieve administrative burden, and provide efficiencies and improvements for students. As changes are rolled out this coming fall, and into 2026, students from all colleges, schools, and units on Ithaca and Cornell Tech campuses will benefit from a more accessible, consistent, and user-friendly catalog.
