All Cornell faculty, students, and staff are now licensed for Power BI Free. Interested members of the Cornell community can sign in and use the service without having to make a license request.

Power BI Free, accessed using a web browser, allows anyone to review Power BI reports created by individuals who have Power BI Pro. The free version of Power BI also has many commonly used features, and it can connect to more than 70 data sources or upload from Excel or other data files to create reports and dashboards for personal use. 

Sign-in is done through app.powerbi.com with a Cornell NetID email address and password or by signing into Microsoft 365 at outlook.cornell.edu and choosing it from the App Launcher.
