The Software Development (SD) SIG will meet on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 from 10:30-11:30am ET. The SD-SIG is open to anyone actively developing software or just interested in software development. Details about our mailing list and Slack channel can be found on the SD-SIG Homepage. You can also access previous meetings and their video recordings.

Fermin Romero, Mike Schlossberg, and Phil Williammee from Student Services IT (SSIT) will discuss Cursor AI Code Editor and how it has improved their software development processes. This presentation will showcase real-world implementation data including over 104,000 lines of AI-generated code with a 63.7% acceptance rate, resulting in more than 10,000 AI interactions.

SSIT will begin with an overview of team adoption metrics and productivity statistics, followed by live demonstrations from team members Mike Schlossberg and Phil Williammee, who have fully integrated Cursor into their daily development practices. Attendees will see actual workflows, coding scenarios, and practical examples of how AI assistance has enhanced their development process.

You can access the Zoom link, full agenda, or add an ICS file to add this event to your calendar on our SD-SIG Meeting Confluence page (sign-in required) and learn more about the group there as well.
