Beginning February 6, 2024, scientists leaning into technology to advance their research can once again take advantage of training webinars available to the global Cornell community. The series of one-hour Zoom sessions each Tuesday include discussions immediately after the talk and span both beginner and intermediate levels of computing topics like Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Python, and R.

“The Cornell Center for Advanced Computing (CAC) collaborates with Weill Cornell Medicine to support computational research,” said Paul Redfern, Cornell’s associate director for strategic partnerships.

“Cornell’s chief global information officer Curtis Cole and CAC training director Susan Mehringer saw the value of a ‘One Cornell’ approach to offering computational training that would benefit both Ithaca and WCM/WCM-Q.”

The webinars have been popular with faculty, students, and staff and provided training to over 1,000 participants each semester.

“We expect the addition of six AI webinars will provide even more value,” said Redfern. “And since they are virtual, each webinar can easily scale to accommodate hundreds of learners.”

Browse the webinar topics and register for individual webinars of interest at the Scientific Computing Training Series website.
